Learn how to use natural dyes for screen printing and painting on fabric in this easy access short class.
Time & Location
07 May 2022, 10:30 – 14:30
16 Pixley St, 16 Pixley St, London E14 7DF, UK
About the event
The class focuses on creating ready to use printing inks from natural dyes. Inks created will work with screen printing, stamping or painting techniques on fabric only.
Basic screens and printing techniques will be shared alongside stamps and paintbrushes. This is a taster class and will not go in depth into the process of screen printing or painting on fabric so some understanding of the process is helpful.
You will learn how to make one colour each and then share the colours during the course of printing.
Fabric provided will be calico and waste linens prepared especially for this class. As the prints take up to an hour to fix onto the fabric please bring something for lunch to share with others so we can all eat together.
This class offers a range of payment options to allow access for all. We kindly request that if you can afford to pay a little more then do leave the lower bracket tickets for those who cannot.
If you choose the pay it forward option you will be helping a BIPOC to attend a later class free of charge. CND Studio is committed to encouraging and supporting BIPOC into the industry and wants to actively remove barriers for this to happen.
