The Full Story
CNDS started in 2019 as a small project within Cordwainers Grow, running dye classes from a local upholstery studio and using a community hall kitchen to experiment with dyes. Once the pandemic hit and thanks to the support from Arts Council England the push to get a studio space led to the setting up of CNDS. The final piece fell into place with the support from Bromley-by-Bow Centre and Investec banks Beyound Business programme. The memtoring and grant support has allowed the studio to focus on the next steps.

Angela Amaba
Angela is a textile artist who grew up in a tiny rural village in the Philippines where traditional crafts using natural materials were a necessary way of life. Nothings goes to waste. This ecological way of living has stayed with her and strongly influences the organic nature of her work.

Emily Gubbay
After years working as a womenswear and textile designer across brands in London and Paris and seeing the damage caused by the industry I decided to focus on slow and sustainable practices. I offer design and production services, sustainability consulting as well as natural colours for fashion and interior and workshops.
